Over 11,000 people dead and the death toll continues to rise
The Turkey-Syria earthquake is the worst natural disaster to hit the area this century
At one time it was believed that the number of injuries was far greater than the number of deaths in Monday’s deadly earthquake and aftershocks. But now the number of deaths has surpassed the number of injuries and more are expected to come.
Thousands of buildings have collapsed and people are trapped underneath the debris. A number of images of children trapped underneath debris have circulated on the internet to give people a visual sense of all of the damage and miracle rescues that have been performed.
God is good and His loving kindness endures forever. Look at how babies and toddlers have been saved with no bruises in that traumatic earthquake .

Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnous has addressed the media and shared that his priorities at this time, “Our priority now is to rescue the people who are still under the rubble.” On Monday a funeral was held for the family of a newborn child that was found alive and still attached to its mother’s umbilical cord when the earthquake happened. The child lost everyone in her family in the earthquake, her mother, father, four siblings, and an aunt.
